Minecraft Movie: Release Date and Information
We have all been waiting patiently on our toes for the official Minecraft movie since February 2014 - this is when Notch posted on X, that Mojang Studios has partnered with Warner Bros Entertainment to produce the movie. Pretty sick!
In this blog post we'll go through all the leaks, information, and the expected release date for the movie. Let's get right into it!
1. Movie Leaks
On a page called 4Chan there was a 2-page leak of the Minecraft Movie. This was later legally taken down by Warner Bros Entertainment - why was this action needed, were these leaks real?
On the first page of the leak it mentioned the movie's version of different mobs such as the creeper, pink sheep, and a bee. There was also a block that was fluffy, but still blocky(?).
On the second page an American actor and comedian called Jack Black was dressed as the Minecraft Steve with a pickaxe in hand doing various poses.
Across the two pages there were some information about the movie's plot which mentioned Steve being captured by a villain named "Malgosha". Steve would later be rescued by four "fresh visitors".
Are these leaks real? YES, they are!
2. Confirmed Release Date
What is hundred precent sure is that Warner Bros is producing the movie and the expected release date is on the 4th of April, 2025. If you visit Jack Black's instagram page, you might come across some sneak peeks of the Minecraft's movie trailer.
